The Davis P Rice Youth Memorial Waterfowl Hunt (DPR for short) is an annual banquet and hunt designed to honor the life of Davis Rice, an avid waterfowl hunter. The event is unique in the sense that it requires volunteers to attend a banquet and meet with the youths/ parents in their blind the night before the hunt. (food is provided for volunteers at the banquet).
Over the years Hunting and Fishing Academy has taken more than 2,000 youths on their first waterfowl hunt. Because of the magnitude of this event, we are in need of many volunteers to serve as blind captains.
